Team Ocean Challenge Sept,12,2009
September 12th at THE GRAND BARN. TGB is holding a sponsor event for our friends of Team Ocean Challenge Visit their Facebook page here (composed of Robert Idinsga, Allie Nicholson and Alok Chowdhury) we have discussed with Robert for the following which explains that the $30/day-person charge includes our sponsoring part going for our friends of T. O. C. Saturday, September 12 we'll see what kind of attendance we get this first time. They'll bring plenty of wine, a banner with Menage a Trois, a laptop to show videos and images of previous races and ourselves to beg for donations. We'll also bring some of the equipment to show off. GPS, sextant, sea anchor... stuff to entertain people. And definitely the boat itself. Pass this around so that we can be as many to enjoy the celebrations.

11 Days of the Flower Power and Child of The Universe re-lived era. The longest of its kind, as all participants are bringing back the days of Hopes & Dreams of a better World, with Peace & Love as the main ingredients, and making of this Global Vision a palpable reality. A chance to meet and make new friends. Adults will feel most involved with this one, as it becomes a communal lesson of showing the world around that Peace and Understanding is what all ethnic groups should aim at.
This is an event that is as adultly basic as can be. People are invited to converge from any area of the globe, all adult visitors finding themselves in the spirit of Nomadic travelers meeting and celebrating humanity as it should be. Loving and Caring for one another. Helping rather than distancing and help the younger ones to realize there is hope in the future of humanity and discussing on how to solve our problems as the leading race on this planet. Our 2-3 nights of meteor showers are a sight in itself worth the price of admission. Bring your camping gear. There should be plenty of music, workshops, seminars, conferences. Attendance is invited to organize such. Reserve in advance.

This is the gathering for those capable of stating they are being "At Ease With Nudity". It invites the many for whom it becomes obvious that BEING NUDE~AN ATTITUDE is very much in the minds of the many participants. Nudity is no more the tabooed word that centuries of colonialism (of all kinds) has so strongly anchored in the minds of its victims. Standing up to the natural realization we're all born equally nude, whatever else might be asserted, is what it's all about. This event invites for such realization.
Publishers, organizations, clubs/resorts/campgrounds owners are invited to come present their own ventures to the crowd. Many topics will resurface as those expressing their choice to feel good about themselves in welcoming Nudity, will obviously exchange/express numerous points of view. An event you wouldn't want to miss. You can rent some of our stalls if you want to present your efforts and products to other participants. Try reserving 1 solid month prior to scheduled events.
Daily admission of $20/day for non-members.

Initiated on 7/7/77, this event is in its 4th decade. Named after the band for which this event honors, we recognize and encourage musicians of all calibers to join in this musical celebration. All guests no matter what their skill or musical tastes are encouraged to participate. *CONCEPT*, recognized for its daring stand on many challenging topics, will culminate the festivities performing on July 7th at 7P.M. The first week of June every year we at the Grand Barn like to kick off the summer season with an all day barbeque and get together. For the newcomer it is a chance to meet most of the regulars at TGB and for our long standing members it is a chance to get together with old friends and catch up. Another summer season is upon us. Time to shed those clothes and let the nourishing rays of the sun re-energize us. And there is no better place to catch the sun, than in the place where freedom reigns, of course were talking about The Grand Barn.
Isn't incredible two count em two actual winters like they used to be. But enjoy them while you can, because that terrible global warming is coming, isn't it? hmmm those pundits have been awful silent these days, and they seem to have steered the campaign to a more ambiguous term now "Global Climate Change" less margin for misinterpretation there right? Oh well Fluffy white stuff is abounding up here at the grand barn, so any body up for a snow man building contest?
Though the fall seasons nights may be chilly, the days are still great for taking the sun, the beauty of it is, while the flower beds may be looking a bit droopy, the trees and the surrounding fauna take on a spectacular array of fall colours. This is a great time of the year to explore the back forty or take a stroll through the forrest. Yes the cooler days may be here but there is still plenty of time to relax and enjoy a day at the Grand Barn.
Every Year Eric volunteers his time for our yearly event "Scuba by the Pool". Eric a certified scuba instructor will give a brief summary and history of the various atricles and equipment used in scuba diving, the necessary safety precautions and physical requirements. Eric then leads into different dive scenario's and the equipment used. After this interactive question & answer period Eric will demonstrate how to suit up for a dive, at this time he will invite guests to participate and take a quick tour of duty around the pool. If you have ever been curious or interested in scuba diving and would like to find out more, then this is one weekend you will not want to miss. Look forward to seeing you Saturday August 02, 2008.
